Resources for Schools and Childcare

From food service licensing and inspection to guest speaking and prevention programming, Missoula Public Health is here to support our community’s schools and childcare facilities.

What we can help with

Immunizations for schools

Immunizations are an important tool to help prevent the spread of disease in children especially in congregate settings such as schools and childcares. Documentation of required immunizations must be provided for children to attend school or to access a licensed childcare facility. Additionally, childcare staff are also required to have a current Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), as well as a completed MMR series.

Check out this link to Montana DPHHS for more information about school and childcare immunization requirements. School immunizations are regulated at the state level, not by MPH.

Immunizations for daycare providers

Childcare providers, if you have questions about immunization review for your annual child care licensing site review, please email [email protected]. For all other questions, please visit DPHHS’s Childcare Licensing Information.
