Childcare Licensing
Most childcare facilities are licensed or registered through the state’s Early Childhood and Family Support Division at Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). Different types of childcare facilities have different licensing and inspection requirements. Please check with DPHHS Child Care Licensing to learn more about licensing and registration.
Drop-in Childcare facilities can either optionally license through DPHHS or certify through Missoula Public Health. See below for more information.

Missoula Public Health conducts pre-operational and annual renewal health inspections for licensed Child Care Centers. I want to certify my drop-in childcare facility through Missoula Public Health.
