Immunizations

Missoula Public Health offers all vaccines recommended by the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, depending on age, health history, and other risk factors. Our expert nurses can help you navigate which vaccines are recommended for you or your child.

Examples include
  • Adult immunizations including Pneumonia, Shingles, and RSV
  • Childhood immunizations (all routine vaccinations)
  • Immunizations necessary for child care, school, and certain occupations
  • Flu shots (seasonally) and COVID-19 vaccines

The Immunization Clinic is open for walk-ins Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Appointments only: Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 406-258-3363 to schedule. The clinic is located on the first floor of 301 W. Alder Street, Missoula.

Prepare for Your Appointment at MPH

  • Forms
You can print and complete forms in advance and bring them with you to your visit. This will help speed up the check-in process. Otherwise, we will ask you to fill these forms in when you arrive.
  • Records
Unless the Health Department is your usual provider of vaccinations, you must either bring the vaccination records with you or have them faxed to (406) 258-4913.
  • Insurance Card
Please check with your insurance company to make sure Missoula City County Health Department is in-network. We are currently unable to bill United Healthcare, Tri-Care, and some Medicare Advantage Plans.
  • Photo ID
Acceptable forms of ID: Current drivers license, state ID card, or passport.

As a local health department immunization clinic, we participate in the federal Vaccine for Children and Vaccine for Adults programs. This allows us to provide most routine vaccines at no cost to eligible* clients (*ex. uninsured) while using a sliding fee scale to determine a reduced cost vaccine administration fee.

We are able to bill most insurances for routine immunizations. Call your insurance provider in advance to make sure they cover vaccines provided at Missoula City County Health Department. We are currently unable to bill United Healthcare, Tri-Care, and some Medicare Advantage Plans.

Ask about a payment plan for any services that are not covered by insurance or that don’t qualify for the Vaccine for Children program, or Vaccine for Adults program.
