Expired Naloxone can still save lives. Naloxone can remain effective for years beyond its expiration date. It loses effectiveness over time but does not become harmful. Don't throw out expired Naloxone. In an overdose, expired Naloxone is better than no Naloxone and may still help save a life. Click here to learn more about Naloxone storage and expiration.
